CLEVELAND—
Highlighted by two first-team nods, the Ohio football program was recognized nine times on the 2025 All-Mid-American Conference Teams, as announced by the conference today (Dec. 4). This marks the fourth consecutive season Ohio landed two or more Bobcats on All-MAC First Team.

Graduate student offensive lineman Davion Weatherspoon and redshirt senior running back Sieh Bangura both earned All-MAC First Team Offense recognition.

Graduate student quarterback Parker Navarro was named to All-MAC Second Team Offense along with redshirt junior offensive lineman Jordon Jones and junior wide receiver Chase Hendricks. Redshirt sophomore defensive end Jay Crable earned All-MAC Second Team Defense honors.

Graduate student offensive lineman Nick Marinaro and redshirt sophomore tight end Mason Williams both earned All-MAC Third Team Offense nods. Graduate student cornerback Tank Pearson was named to the All-MAC Third Team Defense squad.

Bangura (Bowie, Md.) was among the best offensive players in the MAC in his final season. The redshirt senior running back led the MAC in rushing yards (1,243), rushing touchdowns (14), and rushing yards per game (103.6). Bangura also cemented his name in the Ohio record books this season after becoming the fifth Bobcat to surpass 3,000 career rushing yards and the fifth Bobcat to record multiple 1,000-yard seasons. Bangura was a two-time MAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 20 and Nov. 24) as well as MAC Co-Special Teams Player of the Week (Nov. 10) after recording a 97-yard kick return touchdown against Miami in the 2025 Battle of the Bricks (Nov. 4).

Crable (Massillon, Ohio) finished the season ranked fifth in the MAC in total sacks, with six. When the Bobcats opened conference play against Bowling Green (Sept. 27), Crable tied a program record when he tallied three sacks in a single game. Playing in all 12 games, Crable also amassed 32 total tackles, eight of which were for a loss.

Hendricks (St. Louis, Mo.) made a name for himself in his junior season, recording six games with 100 or more receiving yards. Hendricks ended the season with the second-most receiving yards in the MAC (950) and tied for fourth with seven receiving touchdowns. Hendricks tallied a career-high 144 receiving yards against Gardner-Webb (Sept. 20) and notably scored a season-long 67-yard touchdown against Ohio State (Sept. 13). Additionally, Hendricks was named to the in-season Biletnikoff Award Watchlist (Oct. 1), awarded to the nation's top receiver.

Jones (Ashland, Ky.) played in all 12 games on the offensive line for the Bobcats in 2025. In those 12 games, Jones helped Ohio record the second-most total yards in the MAC (5,000) and the second-most touchdowns (44). Jones also helped the Bobcats become the conference's best rushing offense, with 229.1 rush yards per game.

Marinaro (Wayzata, Minn.) played in all 12 games at the center position for Ohio. Snapping the balls to Navarro, Marinaro helped the offense to 187.6 pass yards per game. The offense also ranked second in the MAC in points per game (28.7) and second in total touchdowns (47).

Navarro (Tempe, Ariz) started in all 12 games at quarterback for the Bobcats, amassing 177 completions for 2,232 passing yards and 14 passing touchdowns. Navarro was also productive in the run game with 843 yards and eight touchdowns. In his second season as a captain and the Bobcats' starting quarterback, Navarro surpassed 4,000 career passing yards, becoming the sixth Bobcat to ever do so. Navarro was a two-time MAC Offensive Player of the Week (Sept. 1 and Oct. 27), was added to the Hispanic College Football Player of the Year award watchlist (Oct. 1), and was named to the Davey O'Brien QB Class of 2025 (Oct. 30). Navarro earned MAC Male Scholar-Athlete recognition twice this season (Sept. 17 and Oct. 29) and was named a finalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded to the nation's top scholar athlete. Notably, this makes him Ohio's first National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.

Pearson (Oxford, Miss.) finished the regular season ranked second in the MAC in total passes defended with 11 breakups and two interceptions. Pearson's team-leading two interceptions came against Bowling Green (Sept. 27) and UMass (Nov. 18). Starting in all 12 games, Pearson tallied 53 total tackles, including 40 solo stops.

Weatherspoon (Detroit, Mich.) started all 12 games on the offensive line for the Bobcats this season. The first-year captain helped lead the best rushing offense in the MAC, averaging 229.1 rush yards per game. Weatherspoon also helped the offense achieve the league's top spot for total rushing yards (2,749) and touchdowns (30).

Williams (Mogadore, Ohio) had an outstanding sophomore season at the tight end position, ranking fourth among MAC tight ends with 264 receiving yards and tied for third among MAC tight ends with two receiving touchdowns. Williams had his best game as a receiver against Bowling Green (Sept. 27) when he tallied a career-high 93 receiving yards and a touchdown. Williams' blocking ability was also a pivotal part of the team's success in the rushing game.

The Bobcats finished the 2025 regular season 8-4 with a perfect 6-0 record on their home turf for the second straight season. Ohio earned bowl eligibility for the fourth-straight year when it secured its sixth win of the season against the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks (Nov. 4), becoming the first MAC team to become bowl eligible in 2025.

Ohio concluded its regular season on a high note, notching its second road victory of the season on Friday, Nov. 28 with a 31-26 win over the Buffalo Bulls. The Bobcats are awaiting a bowl selection, which will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 7.
