ATHENS, Ohio –
The Ohio football program is currently in possession of the second-longest Bowl game winning streak among all FBS Teams. Since 2017, the Bobcats have been part of six Bowl games, each ending in a win.

Before Ohio looks to make it seven in a row when it takes on UNLV this Tuesday, Dec. 23, in the Scooters Coffee Frisco Bowl, let's take a look back at six straight Bowl wins for Ohio football.

2017 Bahamas Bowl
The first of Ohio's six-game winning streak came in Nassau, Bahamas, following the 2017 season, where the Bobcats secured a win with the largest margin of victory in Ohio Bowl history. Taking on UAB, Ohio would go on to win the game 41-6.

In the victory, Ohio running back Dorian Brown (Pittsburgh, Pa.) set the Ohio Bowl record for rushing touchdowns in a game with four while rushing for the second-most yards in Bowl history with 152.

Also in the game, quarterback Nathan Rourke (Oakville, Ontario) capped off one of the best seasons in Ohio history by breaking the record for touchdowns responsible for, with 39. Rourke's impressive game came with a 56-yard passing touchdown to wide receiver Papi White (Seminole, Okla.), the longest play of the game.

The win secured Ohio's third Bowl win in program history and the first since the 2012 Independence Bowl.

2018 Frisco Bowl
The only defensive shutout in Ohio Bowl history came during the 2018 Frisco Bowl when Ohio defeated San Diego State 27-0.

Frisco Bowl MVP went to Ohio running back AJ Oulette (Covington, Ohio), who ran for an Ohio Bowl record of 164 yards. However, it was quarterback Nathan Rourke who tallied both of the game's rushing touchdowns, adding to his program record total.

Defense was at its best in the game when the Bobcats tallied seven tackles for a loss, including two from defensive end Evan Croutch (Youngstown, Ohio). To secure the shutout in the fourth quarter, defensive back Alvin Floyd (North Miami Beach, Fla.) tallied the team's lone interception.

2019 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
In the final game of legendary Ohio head coach Frank Solich's career, the Bobcats picked up a 30-21 Potato Bowl victory against Nevada for the fifth Bowl win in program history.

As a team, the Bobcats set the program Bowl record for rush yards in a game when quarterback Nathan Rourke and running back De'Montre Tuggle (Channelview, Texas) combined for almost 200 yards to the team's total of 285.

Rourke was named the most valuable player in the game after passing for 144 yards and rushing for 87 yards and a touchdown in his final game as a Bobcat.

Defensive end Austin Conrad (Grafton, Ohio) forced two fumbles in the contest, which contributed to a 30-9 lead after three quarters of play.

2022 Arizona Bowl
The first bowl win in the Tim Albin era at Ohio was one to remember, as it was the only Bowl game in Ohio history to go into overtime. In the overtime period, quarterback CJ Harris (West Bloomfield, Mich.) found tight end Tyler Foster (Pickerington, Ohio) in the end zone for a game-winning walk-off touchdown against Wyoming.

Harris took home Bowl game MVP after throwing for 184 yards and two touchdowns to go along with his 52 rush yards. In the game's final minute, Harris led the offense into field goal range, where kicker Nathaniel Vakos (Avon, Ohio) converted a 46-yard field goal to force overtime.

Then, freshman running back Sieh Bangura (Bowie, Md.) ran for 138 yards in the game, the third-highest mark in Ohio Bowl game history. With the game, Bangura surpassed 1,000 yards in the season.

On defense, the Bobcats recorded four sacks, including two by defensive end Shane Bonner (New Concord, Ohio) and an interception by Torrie Cox. Jr (Miami Gardens, Fla.).

2023 Myrtle Beach Bowl
The Bobcats' fifth straight Bowl win marked several program records, including five total touchdowns from running back Rickey Hunt Jr. (Oklahoma City, Okla.) A game-MVP performance from Hunt led to a 41-21 victory over Georgia Southern.

Quarterback Parker Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) made his first career start, where he would pass for 120 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 71 yards.

The defense also broke records, with defensive end Bradley Weaver (Hilliard, Ohio) setting Bowl records with two sacks and three tackles for a loss. Defensive end Vonnie Watkins (Lusby, Md.) also tied the record for sacks in a Bowl game with two.

Three different Bobcats recorded interceptions in the game, also tying a Bobcat Bowl record.

2024 StaffDNA Cure Bowl
In Ohio's most recent bowl game, the team earned a hard-fought 30-27 win against Jacksonville State in the Cure Bowl. The win marked the eighth Bowl victory in program history as well as the sixth straight, making the Bobcats the first MAC team to win six consecutive bowl games.

The win also secured the first 11-win season in Ohio history, following the MAC Championship Game a few weeks earlier.

Quarterback Parker Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) was named game MVP one year after making his first career start in the Myrtle Beach Bowl. The quarterback also broke records in the game when he secured a 1,000-yard rushing season and threw for 254 passing yards, third most in Ohio Bowl history.

Additionally, wide receiver Coleman Owen (Gilbert, Ariz) became Ohio's all-time leading single-season receiver in the game while linebacker Blake Leake (Culpeper, Va.) recorded an interception.
