DAVIDSON, N.C.—The Ohio Wrestling team returned to the mat on Saturday afternoon, defeating Davidson 28-10 in the first of two duals over the weekend.

Redshirt senior Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio) was a standout performer for the Bobcats, defeating Davidson's Dylan Smith by technical fall (16-0), recording a crucial victory to stretch the Bobcat lead to 18-10. Lehman maintains an undefeated 3-0 record in dual meets on the season.

The Bobcats started the match strong, with sophomore Ryan Meek (Luebberring, Mo.) and freshman Abe Hermes (Milan, Ohio) picking up decision victories at 133 lbs. and 141 lbs. to give the Bobcats an early 6-0 lead.

After the Bobcats fell behind in the match 10-6, redshirt sophomore Jeremy Olszko (Northfield, Ohio) got the Bobcats back on track with an 8-1 decision victory at 174 lbs. over Davidson's Mark Koch. At 184 lbs, redshirt senior Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) continued the Bobcat's momentum with a 19-5 major decision victory over Davidson's Cody Kirk to help the Bobcats regain the lead in the match. Both Olszko and Perrine sport 3-0 dual meet records this season.Â

After Lehman's victory by technical fall, at 285 lbs. sophomore Wyatt Schmitt (Shorewood, Ill.) defeated Davidson's DJ Spring II by 4-0 decision for his first dual meet victory of the season.
