
Ohio Wrestling Drops Match to Wisconsin

ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio Bobcats wrestling team (1-1) dropped a dual match to Wisconsin (2-0), 27-10 on Saturday night.

At 174 lbs, redshirt sophomore Jeremy Olszko (Northfield, Ohio) was the first to get the Bobcats on the board, defeating his opponent Luke Condon by decision, 7-1. Olszko started the match strong earning three points in the first period, followed by another three in the second with an escape point. Olszko ended the match with 2:39 ride time to earn seven points in the match.

Immediately following Olszko, redshirt senior Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) defeated Cale Anderson from Wisconsin by major decision 10-2. Perrine maintained control of all three periods on his way to victory. Â

At 197 lbs, redshirt senior Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio) delivered another win for the Bobcats, defeating Wyatt Ingham in by decision, 7-0. The first period featured back and forth action and no points for either wrestler, but Lehman took control and earned the first four points of the match in the second. In the third, Lehman stayed on top and reversed Ingham's ride time while gaining another three points to secure the victory by decision.
