Ohio Football Set to Face Off Against EMU on Saturday

ATHENS, Ohio– The Ohio football program hits the road for its final Saturday matchup of the season, taking on the Eastern Michigan Eagles on Saturday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET at Rynearson Stadium and can be seen on CBS Sports Network with Jordan Kent and Logan Ryan on the call. 

The Bobcats' matchup can also be heard on the Ohio Sports Network from Learfield, presented by Holzer Health System. Veteran Ohio radio personality Marty Bannister is reprising his role as Ohio's play-by-play broadcaster. Bannister will be joined by color analyst Rob Cornelius, who has been a part of the broadcasts for more than two decades.

SERIES HISTORY VS. EMU
The Bobcats and the Eagles have met 34 times since 1976, posting a 21-12-1 record. 

The pair last faced off in 2024 at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium. After a scoreless first quarter, the Eagles struck first with 12:47 until halftime. After quarterback Parker Navarro evened the score, running back Anthony Tyus III pulled the Bobcats ahead with 13 seconds remaining in the half. Ohio was dominant in the second half, only allowing one field goal in its 35-10 victory. 

SCOUTING EMU
The Eagles are currently 2-6 overall, going 1-3 against conference opponents. They are coming off a 44-30 loss to the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks, in which they scored all of their points in the second and fourth quarters. As a team, EMU averages 24.5 points on 142.2 rushing yards and 224 passing yards per game. 

In the air, graduate student quarterback Noah Kim has appeared in eight games for the Eagles. He is currently 162-for-263 with six interceptions, throwing 12 touchdowns on 1,792 yards. Kim is a threat on the ground as well, recording 55 carries and a team-best four touchdowns on 113 rushing yards. 

Graduate student running back Dontae McMillan leads the rushers, logging 116 touches and two touchdowns on 674 yards. Senior running back Tavierre Dunlap and junior running back Joey Mattord are responsible for the remaining rushing touchdowns, with Dunlap finding the endzone three times and Mattord scoring once. 

Graduate student wide receiver Nick Devereaux leads Eastern Michigan's receivers with 288 yards on 22 receptions. Both Devereaux and sophomore tight end Joshua Long claim three touchdowns apiece, while McMillan and freshman wide receiver Harold Mack have each scored twice. Graduate student wide receiver Terry Lockett Jr. is third in receiving yards (263), scoring once. 

Senior defensive back Bryce Llewwllyn claims a team-best 67 tackles, including 28 solo stops. He also owns two of the Eagles' three interceptions this season and is second in tackles for loss (3.5), trailing senior defensive lineman Carter Evans, who leads in both tackles for loss (5) and sacks (1.5). Senior defensive back Barry Manning is second in total tackles (49) and has one pass breakup on the season, while junior linebacker Andrew Marshall is third with 45 tackles. Both Manning and Marshall have 1.5 tackles for loss on the season. 

Redshirt freshman kicker Rudy Kessinger is the Eagles' leading scorer, responsible for 60 points so far this season. He is 14-for-18 in field goals— with his longest kick of the season clocking in at 50 yards—and is 18-for-18 on PATs. Senior kicker Nathan Dibert is responsible for 42 kickoffs, amassing 2,652 yards. Graduate student punter Mitchell Tomasek owns 1,553 yards on 33 punts.
