Letter From the Desk: Slade Larscheid, Ohio Director of Athletics

Dear Bobcats,
 
Today I'm wrapping up my first official month serving as your Director of Athletics at Ohio University, and what an amazing first month it has been! I'm humbled and grateful for the warm welcome the community has extended to me and to my whole family throughout the past four weeks.
  
Since my appointment by President Gonzalez, our team has been busy, diving into projects and initiatives and engaging with alumni and supporters. The time I have spent with our staff, coaches, and fans, has left me even more energized by the many opportunities that lie ahead for OHIO Athletics.
 
Please know, your presence cheering on our teams near and far is the heart of our athletic enterprise. Whether you are a lifelong fan or new to the Bobcat family, your support and spirit are what make OHIO truly special. As we set our sights on new goals and expectations, we are committed to the student-athlete experience and continued development of a championship culture.
 
With our fall sports in the height of conference play and winter sports gearing up, there is a buzz in Athens that will only grow louder as we kickoff Homecoming week. I look forward to the days and months ahead – working together as we write the next chapter for Bobcat Athletics.
