CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Ohio wrestling team kicked off day one of the 2025 NWCA National Duals with competition against Pennsylvania, Northern Iowa and Central Michigan. Ohio faced Pennsylvania in the Division I Prelim round in the morning and Northern Iowa in the Division I bracket in the afternoon. It's final dual was against Central Michigan in the consolation bracket.  

In the prelims, Ohio fell to Pennsylvania 38-9. Redshirt sophomore Austin Starr (Indian Creek, Ohio) picked up the win over Jackson Zimmerman. Redshirt senior Jordan Greer (Avon, Ohio) collected his third fall of the season against John Pardo in the 285-pound class. Greer also picked up a win in Ohio's 34-3 loss to Central Michigan to end the day 2-1.

Redshirt junior Garrett Thompson (Murraysville, Pa.) collected the lone win in Ohio's 48-3 loss to Northern Iowa. He defeated Jared Simma on a 5-3 decision in the 174-pound bout.
