ATHENS, Ohio - Junior goalkeeper
Celeste Sloma (Columbus, Ohio) has been named the the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row, as announced by the league on Tuesday (Sept. 10).
Sloma delivered an outstanding performance for the Bobcats in their 2-0 victory over Marshall on Sept. 5. Starting in goal, she played the full 90 minutes and made five crucial saves, securing her second consecutive shutout and third of the season.
The Bobcats return to action on Thursday, Sept.12, when they take on Western Kentucky. First touch is set for 8 p.m. EST in Bowling Green, Ky. and can be seen on ESPN+.
