SYLVANIA, Ohio— The Ohio men's golf program returned to action at the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate, hosted by the Bowling Green Falcons at Highland Meadows Country Club. The Bobcats were led by
Will Kates, who helped Ohio place seventh overall in the tournament with a score of +14.
The Highland Meadows Intercollegiate field included 11 teams, three of which hail from Mid-American Conference schools. Minnesota placed first, finishing -19 overall.
Leading the way for the Bobcats was sophomore
Will Kates (Centennial, Colorado), placing in a tie for seventh with a total of 210 (-3). Kates was consistent across all three rounds, recording scores of 73, 65 and 72.
Sophomore
Carson Trafford (Dublin, Ohio), finished in a tie for 23
rd with a total of 214 (+1). Junior
Matt Daulton (Lebanon, Ohio) tied for 36
th with a total of 219 (+6).
Junior
Sam Hogan (Burlington, Canada) followed, tying for 42
nd with a total of 221 (+8) while senior
Jack Neville (Terrace Park, Ohio) was right on his heels, finishing with 223 (+10) and tied for 48
th.
Rounding out the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate, senior
Jared DeVille (Loveland, Ohio), who placed 70
thwith a total of 241 (+28).
Ohio will return to action on the course on Friday, April 19 for the Robert Kepler Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Ohio State, will be a three-day affair in Columbus, Ohio.
