MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ohio baseball team (8-16, 4-8 MAC) fell 14-7 at Ball State (17-12, 5-7 MAC) in the series finale on Saturday, March 30.
Senior
Gideon Antle (Licking, Mo.) and freshman
JR Nelson (Vernon Hills, Ill.) led Ohio with two runs apiece. Antle tallied two hits, including a double and an RBI. Nelson recorded a home run, an RBI and two hits. Redshirt junior
Nick Dolan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded Ohio's second home run of the day and finished 2-for-5 at the plate with one RBI. Fifth year

Jackson Cauthron (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) also tallied one run each.
Blake Gaskey started for Ohio on the mound and pitched four innings. Gaskey allowed eight runs, 10 hits and recorded six strikeouts. Three other pitchers made appearances on the mound today for the Bobcats including junior
Hudson Boncal (Corona, Calif.) who allowed two runs and four hits in two innings pitched.
Both teams experienced a lot of success offensively today. Ohio scored seven runs in the first three innings and held a 7-5 lead over Ball State. However, Ball State unleashed a powerful offense on the Bobcats throughout the next three innings and took control of the game. Ball State went on to win the game 14-7.
The Bobcats return home to Bob Wren Stadium for a conference series with Western Michigan starting on Friday, April 5 at 6 p.m. ET.
