Blake Leake both earned All-MAC Third Team Defense accolades while Owen was recognized a second time, this time as an All-MAC Third-Team Specialist for his performance as a kickoff returner.
In the Bobcats' four years under Albin, they've recorded three consecutive nine-win regular seasons, two consecutive 10-win seasons and have earned a bid to the MAC Championship twice, with their second appearance slated for Saturday (Dec. 7). Ohio has been bowl-eligible three of the last four season, winning both bowls they attended to match the conference record
Heidecker (Columbia Station, Ohio) started in 10 of 12 games this season, making appearances as both the left and right tackle throughout the season. The redshirt senior helped Ohio lead the MAC in total yards (4,731) and average yards per game (394.3). Additionally, Ohio's offense in four rushing categories: total yards (2,526), average yards per game (210.5), average yards per touch (5.2) and touchdowns (29).
Leake (Culpeper, Va.) has played in all 12 games in the 2024 season. He leads the defense with 73 tackles, including 30 solo stops and three tackles for loss. Additionally, Leake has recorded three pass breakups, two quarterback hurries and one forced fumble.
Navarro (Tempe, Ariz.) is the Bobcats' top scorer, leading the league in rushing touchdowns (13). A force to be reckoned with on the ground, the team captain claims second-most rushing yards (876) for Ohio, putting him fifth in the MAC rankings. In the air, the graduate student is 156-for-240 on 1,934 yards, throwing 10 touchdowns to six different receivers. Navarro's performance earned him MAC weekly accolades four times, highlighted by three consecutive weeks in November, as well as a Davey O'Brien "Great 8" following week 14.
Owen (Gilbert, Ariz.) became Ohio's third receiver to record over 1,000 receiving yards in a single season (1,032). With two games left on the 2024 schedule, he is within reach of becoming the Bobcats' all-time single-season receiver. On the season, Owen has scored nine times: seven receiving touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, and highlighted by a 61-yard punt return to the end zone. The team captain earned MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors once (Oct. 28) and a spot on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll (Oct. 29).
Taylor (Mount Perry, Ohio) has 63 tackles on the season, including 27 solo stops and the second-most tackles for loss on the Bobcats' defense (9). Taylor's snagged his career-first pick-six against Buffalo (Oct. 26), closing Ohio's senior day victory on a high note and earning him a MAC Defensive Player of the Week nod.
Titsworth (Wexford, Pa.) started in all 12 games at center for the Bobcats this season. The captain helped the offense execute 772 plays this season on a league-best total yards (4,731) and average yards per game (394.3). Additionally, Ohio's offense in four rushing categories: total yards (2,526), average yards per game (210.5), average yards per touch (5.2) and touchdowns (29).
Tyus (Portage, Mich.) leads the Bobcats on the ground and currently sits at 960 rushing yards at the end of the regular season. In 11 games, the graduate student has scored eight touchdowns on a league-leading 184 carries. Notably, Tyus is second in the MAC in rushing yards and longest rush (46 yds).
Walker (Aliquippa, Pa.) made a name for himself this season, making an appearance in all 12 regular season games. The redshirt freshman currently has 48 tackles on the season, with 28 solo stops and six tackles for loss. Walker is second on the team in pass breakups (7) and has one forced fumble on the season. Additionally, he recorded his career-first interception against Akron (Sept. 28).
Weaver (Hilliard, Ohio) leads Ohio's defense with 12.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks, making the MAC's top five in both categories. On the season, the captain has logged 36 total tackles—including 22 solo tackles—three forced fumbles, one blocked field goal (Sept. 14) and a team-best seven quarterback hurries.
