ATHENS, Ohio. - The Ohio wrestling team (2-2) returned home on Sunday afternoon (Dec. 22) for a dual against Gardner-Webb at the Convocation Center, where the Bobcats took down the Runnin' Bulldogs, 26-15. 

Redshirt sophomore, Derek Raike (Point Pleasant, W.Va.) kicked off the dual earning the first points for the Bobcats from a 10-3 decision after beating Joseph Girodano in the 149-pound class. Later, Redshirt junior, Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.) continued to show his dominance in the 174-pound class with a victory by technical fall against Andrew Wilson, 15-0, keeping the Bobcats in the lead against the Runnin' Bulldogs. 

Additional outstanding performances were showed by redshirt freshman, Jeremy Olszko (Northfield, Ohio) with a dominant win against Edison Flores in the 184-pound class after recording a pin in the second period for a Fall of 3:47, and redshirt senior, Jordan Greer (Avon, Ohio) commanded control on the mat at the 285-weight class, also with a swift fall against Mason Blue at 1:20. 

The Bobcats will be back in action on Friday (Jan. 3) in Athens for a dual against Cleveland State at the Convocation Center. The event is set to begin at 7 p.m. EST.
