PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Ohio wrestling team (1-2) returned to action Tuesday evening (Dec. 17) for a dual against Drexel in Philadelphia, Pa. where the Bobcats fell to the Dragons 26-16.
Redshirt sophomore Derek Raike (Point Pleasant, W.Va.) opened the scoring for the Bobcats, dominating Dominic Findora with a 9-2 decision in the 149-pound class. Following his lead, redshirt junior Peyten Kellar (Cutler, Ohio) in the 157-pound class added to Ohio's momentum, securing an 8-3 decision over Luke Nichter.
The Bobcats showcased exceptional talent in two standout performances from redshirt junior Garrett Thompson (Murrysville, Pa.) dismantled Jack Janda with a commanding 15-0 technical fall in the 174-pound class, while redshirt senior Jordan Greer (Avon, Ohio) in the heavyweight class overwhelmed Dominic Petracci, claiming a decisive 19-4 technical fall.
