Ohio Volleyball Falls at Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Ohio volleyball team (6-10, 2-3 MAC) fell 3-0 at Western Michigan (6-10, 2-3 MAC) on Thursday, Oct. 10.

Freshman Kam Hunt (Sylvania, Ohio) led the team with 20 kills, 20.0 points and a .333 hitting percentage in addition to seven digs. Freshman Bryn Janke (Westfield, Wis.) recorded a team-high 17 assists and two aces.

Defensively, freshman Darbi Ricketts (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished with a team-high 15 digs. Sophomore Olivia Gardner (Macomb, Mich.) recorded two solo blocks.

Western Michigan won the first set in a 25-20 decision. The Broncos gained a 2-0 lead with a 25-17 win in the second set. Despite a hard fight by the Bobcats in the third set, Western Michigan ultimately took the set in a 25-23 decision to win the match.

The Bobcats will be back in action at Northern Illinois on Friday, Oct. 11. The match is set to start at 7 p.m. ET.
