DEKALB, Illinois — The Ohio wrestling team fell 24-15 to Northern Illinois Friday (Jan. 12) afternoon. With the loss, Ohio moved to 0-1 in Mid-American Conference duals. 

Redshirt sophomore Peyten Kellar (Warren, Ohio) collected the Bobcats' first win of the day after they dropped their first four bouts. Kellar defeated Tulga Zuunbayan by a 7-1 decision in the 157-pound class. Redshirt sophomore Garrett Thompson (Murraysville, Pa.) followed him with a win of his own. He won by fall over Tommy Bennett in the 165-pound class.  

Ohio earned two more back-to-back wins in the 184- and 197-pound classes. Junior Zayne Lehman (Akron, Ohio) defeated Shane Moran 5-0 and Sophomore Austin Starr (Indian Creek, Ohio) collected an 8-1 decision over Sean Carroll.
