KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Ohio women's soccer team has been awarded the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2022-23 academic year.
Head coach Aaron Rodgers' team continues their strong stretch of academic excellence after nine student-athletes were selected for the Academic All-MAC team and five for the CSC's Academic All-District team.
In order to achieve the award, teams were required to achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The Bobcats recorded a team grade point average of 3.64 for the 2022-23 academic year.
Ohio opens the 2023 season tomorrow, Thursday, August 17, at Chessa Field. The Bobcats will kick off against the Duquesne Dukes at 4 p.m.
