DURHAM, N.C. – The Ohio track and field team competed in the Duke Invitational, hosted inside the Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium, April 6-8.
In 1500m, fifth year Stephanie Pierce (Fairborn, Ohio) took eighth place, clocking a season best 4:33.71. Senior Alyssa Christian (Newark, Ohio) and fifth year Madelyn Bartolone (Massillon, Ohio) followed with times of 4:42.86 and 4:46.60.
In the 5000m, all three Bobcats recorded personal bests. Sophomore Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio) crossed the finish line first for Ohio in 16:39.81. Harris took first in her heat, while freshman Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio) finished in 16:43.52 for second. Sophomore Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio) placed first in her heat as well with a 16:50.01.
Up next, Ohio will return home for the Cherry Blossom Invitational on April 15. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. ET, with Senior Day starting at 11:50 a.m. and running events at 12:05 p.m. ET.
