ATHENS, Ohio—The Ohio football team held its first of 15 spring practices today (March 7) inside Walter Fieldhouse.
"We're excited to begin spring practices. Ohio football is a developmental program, and we're going to take the next step as a team this spring as we develop depth on both sides of the ball," said head coach
Tim Albin. "We're returning lots of Bobcats from last year's roster, and I can't wait to see how this team grows and gets better and better over the next 15 practices."

Miles Cross (Bowie, Md.), redshirt senior offensive lineman
Kurt Danneker (Linden, Pa.), redshirt junior tight end
Tyler Foster (Pickerington, Ohio), redshirt sophomore quarterback
CJ Harris (West Bloomfield, Mich.), redshirt senior linebacker
Bryce Houston (Lewis Center, Ohio), junior wide receiver
Jacoby Jones (Tunica, Miss.), redshirt junior quarterback
Kurtis Rourke (Oakville, Ontario, Canada), redshirt junior offensive lineman
Parker Titsworth (Wexford, Pa.), redshirt senior linebacker
Keye Thompson (Barberton, Ohio), redshirt sophomore wide receiver
Keegan Wilburn (Nelsonville, Ohio) and graduate student wide receiver
Sam Wiglusz (Brecksville, Ohio).
Ohio finished the 2022 season 10-4 overall, 7-1 against MAC opponents and 6-0 at home. They wrapped up their record-setting performance with a 30-27 overtime victory against Wyoming in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl (Dec. 30). The 2022 season marks the Bobcats' first 10-win season since 2011 and the fourth in program history.
This performance earned Albin MAC Coach of the Year honors, Rourke Offensive Player of the Year honors as well as the Vern Smith Leadership Award and Bangura MAC Freshman of the Year accolades.
The Bobcats are set to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, Calif when they take on the San Diego State Aztecs. Homecoming is set for Saturday, Oct. 7 against the Kent State Golden Flashes. Television platforms, along with gametimes, will be announced at a later date.
