
Ohio Track and Field Set for MAC Indoor Championships

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ohio track and field team is set to compete at the 2023 Mid-American Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 24-25. The two-day event is hosted by Bowling Green State University.
Emily McKenzie (Dillsburg, Pa.) and Kassidy Betzing (Pomeroy, Ohio) will start off the competition on Friday with the long jump. Jordan Baith (Seville, Ohio) and Autumn Mohan (Chillicothe, Ohio) will finish off the field events for the day with the weight throw. Allie Martin (Kingwood, W.Va.), Alyssa Christian (Newark, Ohio), Madelyn Bartolone (Massillon, Ohio), and Stephanie Pierce (Fairborn, Ohio) will kick off the running events with the mile trials before Larissa Manciaz (Eagle Lake, Texas) competes in the 400m prelims. Josie Knierim (McConnelsville, Ohio) will wrap the short distance prelims with 60m and 200m dash. Taniah Stephens (Erie, Pa.) will be also be competing in the 60m alongside Knierim. Leila Boussedra (Worthington, Ohio), Alyssa Mason (Dublin, Ohio), and Kelsi Harris (Liberty Township, Ohio) will compete in the 5000m before the team of Christian, Theresa Hagey (Akron, Ohio), Imani Brown (Crown Point, Ind.), and Pierce wrap the day up with the distance medley relay.
On Saturday, McKenzie will return for the triple jump before Michaela Frey (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) competes in the pole vault. Millie Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) and Mohan will compete in the shot put before Brown finishes off the field events in the high jump. Harris, Hagey, and Mason will return to compete in the 3000m before the team of Manciaz, Brown, Pierce, and Sophie Besett (Twinsburg, Ohio) close out the championships with the 4x400m relay.
