ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio swimming and diving team are set to head to Oxford, Ohio for the 2023 Mid-American Conference Swimming and Diving Championships February 22-25. The four-day event is set to take place at the Corwin M. Nixon Aquatic Center on the campus of Miami. All four days will be streamed on getsomemaction.com.
Competition begins on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 5 p.m. for the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay.
The Bobcats are back in the pool on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. for preliminary races, before returning to the poll at 6 p.m. for the night's finals, starting with the 500 freestyle race before concluding the night with the 200 freestyle relay. Ohio is back in action on Friday, Feb. 24 at 10:30 a.m. for more prelim races and are set for finals at 6 p.m., starting with the 100-yard butterfly and concluding with the 400-yard medley relay.
Ohio wrapped up the championships on Saturday, Feb. 25 with prelims at 10:30 a.m. before returning at 4:10 p.m. for the final evening, starting with Senior Recognition at 5:45 p.m. and concluding with the 400-yard freestyle relay.
The Bobcats are looking to improve on last season's fourth-place finish and return last year's Second Team All-MAC members, senior Emma Fortman (Maderia, Ohio), junior Gabrielle Brust (Granville, Ohio) and senior McKenzie Grau (Mason, Ohio).
