ATHENS, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference Tournament Champion Ohio Soccer team (9-7-5) has learned its destination for the 2023 NCAA Tournament First Round following the NCAA Selection Show on Monday (Nov. 6). The Bobcats will head to East Lansing, Mich. to take on the 5th-seeded Michigan State (12-4-3) on Friday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium.
After entering the tournament at the sixth seed, Ohio went to Muncie, Ind. to defeat No. 3 Ball State, before heading to Kalamazoo to take down No. 2 Bowling Green, 2-1 and No. 4 Kent State, 2-1. The final two matches were come-from-behind affairs that saw Tournament MVP
Scout Murray score the game-winning goals in both matches to raise the Bobcats to victory.
