KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Ohio track and field team finishes the second day of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships with more personal records.
Senior
Stephanie Pierce (Fairborn, Ohio) ran a 2:09.69, the fifth fastest time in school history, to qualify for the 800m finals.
Meanwhile, junior
Carina Weaver (Lexington, Ohio) claimed the first podium finish of the night for the Bobcats in the 3000m steeplechase. Weaver recorded a 11:02.02 to secure a seventh place finish. Sophomore
Kenna Loveless (Tallmadge, Ohio) also competed in the 3000m steeplechase, clocking a 12.07.81.
In the field events, senior
Autumn Mohan (Chillicothe, Ohio) posted another personal best in the shot put with a throw of 13.88m. Mohan placed tenth and was followed by freshman
Millie Ryan (Vincent, Ohio) who threw 12.18m.
Junior
Kendall Kraft (Wadsworth, Ohio) and freshman
Michaela Frey (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) also presented Ohio in the pole vault. Kraft and Frey both recorded vaults of 3.14m, taking 11th and 13th place.
The Bobcats will be back in action tomorrow (May 13) for the third and final day of the MAC Championships, starting at 10 am EST.
