Ohio Track & Field Completes Day 1 at MACs

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Ohio track & field team wrapped up day 1 of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Western Michigan.
Senior Autumn Mohan (Chillicothe, Ohio) kicked things off for the Bobcats with a season-best throw of 49.08m in the hammer event. Mohan was followed by senior Rachel Simpson (Port Clinton, Ohio), who recorded a throw of 41.89m.
Fifth year Hailey Bowes (Arlington Heights, Ill.) closed out the night with a podium finish in the 10,000m. Clocking a time of 35:46.47, Bowes finished seventh. Graduate student Jessie Hartman (Lebanon, Ohio) also competed in the 10,000m, crossing the finish line in 37:09.82.
Ohio will be back in action tomorrow (May 12) at 3 p.m. EST.
