HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-- The Ohio baseball team (13-15, 7-9 MAC) dropped their midweek game against Marshall (15-18-1, 4-8 C-USA) 10-3.

Marshall took an early lead, scoring a run in both the first and second inning. The Bobcats stuck in the top of the third when redshirt freshman AJ Rausch (Powell, Ohio) drove in redshirt senior Michael Richardson (Cambridge, Md.) with a sacrifice fly. After senior Will Sturek (Minnetonka, Minn.) drew a walk, redshirt senior Spencer Harbert (Middletown, Del.) lined out to center field, allowing redshirt senior Xavier Haendiges (Salem, Ind.) to score, tying the game 2-2.

The Herd struck again in the bottom of the third, taking a 4-2 lead with a solo home run and an RBI single. Marshall continued to build their lead as the game progressed, scoring once in the fourth and twice in the fifth. Another Marshall solo home run in the sixth followed by a home run and RBI single in the seventh left Ohio trailing, 10-2.

In the bottom of the ninth, redshirt senior Trevor Lukkes (Tustin, Calif.) drove in the Bobcats' final run with an RBI single through the left side, putting the final score at 10-3.
