EVANSVILLE, Ind.—The Ohio baseball team (4-5) wrapped up their weekend in Evansville, defeating the Aces (3-9) in the 10th inning, 6-4.

Individually, redshirt sophomore starting pitcher Jacob Tate (Louisville, Tenn.) pitched five innings with four strikeouts and one walk while fifth year Brett Manis (Port Huron, Mich.) threw four innings with six strikeouts. At the plate, senior Mason Minzey (Grand Blanc, Mich.) led the way, going 3-for-5 with one run scored, two doubles and three RBIs.

The Bobcats struck first; Minzey scored in the top of the second when fifth year Treyben Funderburg (Beavercreek, Ohio) flied out to right field. Ohio extended their lead in the fourth, scoring three additional runs. Redshirt freshman Nick Dolan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) bunted in Funderburg, followed by an RBI single from junior Alex Finney (Oxford, Mich.). Fifth year Isaiah Peterson (Lincoln, Neb.) scored off a fly-out, giving the Bobcats a 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the inning.

The Aces scored twice in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI double and a fly-out, shrinking Ohio's lead to two runs. After two scoreless innings, Evansville drove in another run with an RBI double, putting the score at 4-3. With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, an Aces RBI double tied the game, sending the Bobcats into extra innings.

In the top of the 10th inning, Minzey doubled down the left field line, driving in Peterson and Finney to put the Bobcats back in the lead. Senior pitcher Colin Sells (Lancaster, Ohio) faced four Evansville batters in the bottom of the inning, drawing three groundouts to secure Ohio's 6-4 victory.
