ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio women's basketball team has earned an at-large berth to the 2022 Postseason WNIT field, the tournament announced tonight (March 13). The Bobcats (15-14) will learn their opponent and location tomorrow (March 14) when the bracket is released. 

This will be Ohio's fifth appearance in the WNIT, and the second consecutive season that the Bobcats have been selected. First round action will be played March 16-18.

The 2022 Postseason WNIT will feature 64 teams in a single-elimination championship format. The tournament is in its 23rd year.

The Postseason WNIT began in 1998 with 16 teams playing for a post-season crown. The event has expanded four times, throughout which its mission has remained the same: To give deserving teams a quality opportunity to play exciting games for a post-season title.
