BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Ohio swimming and diving team wrapped up the opening night of competition of the 2022 Mid-American Conference Championships, hosted by Bowing Green on Tuesday evening (Feb. 23). The Bobcats are tied for fourth place with 54 points after day one.
Tonight's session included only the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The Bobcats opened competition with the 200-yard medley relay, with the Ohio team of sophomore
Riley Bunstine (Alexandria, Ohio), freshman
Julia Strine (Shippensburg, Pa.), sophomore
Gabrielle Brust (Granville, Ohio) and sophomore
Caroline Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa.) finishing in seventh place with a time of 1:40.90.
The Bobcats were back in action for the 800 free relay with the team of junior
McKenzie Grau (Mason, Ohio), junior
Emma Fortman (Madeira, Ohio), senior
Athena Aravantinou (North Bethesda, Md.) and junior
Madeline Marks (Bentonville, Ark.) finishing in fourth place with a time of 7:17.63.
The Bobcats return to the pool for day two on Thursday, Feb. 24. Prelims begin at 10:30 a.m., with finals set to start at 6:30 p.m.
