
Hagan Places Sixth at Cliff Keen Las Vegas Wrestling Invitational

LAS VEGAS— Highlighted by graduate student Alec Hagan's sixth place finish at 149 pounds, the Ohio wrestling team competed in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Wrestling Invitational this weekend (Dec. 2-3). The Bobcats finished with 20 points.Â
Hagan (Eureka, Mo.) started the tournament seeded eighth. He pinned his first opponent, moving on to defeat Kent State's Kody Komara by a narrow 3-2 decision. He met Sammy Sasso (Ohio State) in the quarterfinals, falling at 2:51. Sasso is currently ranked third on InterMat.
In the fifth place match, the graduate student lost in a 5-2 decision, placing sixth in the 149-pound bracket.Â
Up next, the Bobcats open Mid-American Conference duals at Edinboro on Saturday, Dec. 10. The match is set to start at 7 p.m.Â
