EDINBORO, Pa.—The Ohio wrestling team defeated Edinboro in their first dual of the 2022-23 season, winning 31-12.Â

Redshirt junior Oscar Sanchez (Genoa, Ohio), opened with a 8-3 decision at 125 pounds, followed by an 11-1 major decision at 133 pounds for redshirt senior Giovanni DiSabato (Hilliard, Ohio).Â

Redshirt freshman Peyten Kellar (Cutler, Ohio) and redshirt junior Jordan Slivka (Indianapolis, Ind.) registered back-to-back falls at 157 pounds and 165 pounds, respectively. Sophomore Sal Perrine (Northfield, Ohio) secured a 6-5 decision at 174 pounds.Â

At 197 pounds, redshirt junior Carson Brewer (Avon, Ind.) wrapped up Ohio's victories with a tight 4-3 decision.
