Ohio Women's Basketball Looks to Pick up Their Second Road Win

DAYTON, OHIO. –The Ohio Bobcats (1-4, 0-0 MAC) will stay on the road this week to play the Dayton Flyers (0-6, 0-0 A10). Ohio is looking for their second win in a row and Dayton is hoping to gain their first win of the season. The non-conference game will be played at UD stadium and tipoff is set for 7 o'clock. The contest can be found on ESPN+ and followed through live stats. 

THEY MEET AGAIN
The Dayton Flyers currently hold the all-time series at 10-3 against the Ohio Bobcats. It is recorded that the two teams have met a total of 13 times and last saw one another in a 1993 tip-off. This would be considered the most "recent" matchup with the Bobcats taking a 72-61 victory back to Athens. Tuesday's (Nov. 28, 2022) contest will be marked as the fourteenth matchup between the Ohio Bobcats and the Dayton Flyers.

SCOUTING THE FLYERS
The Dayton Flyers have played 6 games thus far in the 2022-23 season going on a 0-6 streak playing challenging non-conference teams. Most recently, Dayton competed in the Baha Mar Pink Flaming tournament in the Bahams, facing Ole Miss and Kentucky. The Flyers fell 50-63 against Ole Miss and 44-70 to Kentucky. Dayton returns to Ohio to play the Bobcats on their home court in hopes to clech their first win of the season.

THE START OF THE FLYERS 2022 SEASON
Previous to Dayton traveling to the Bahamas they faced Providence College on the road losing 60-69. Their next matchup was back in Ohio falling to Illinois State in overtime 70-74 before facing Akron with a 69-85 end. The Flyers then returned home to take Northern Kentucky to extra minutes, falling once more in OT 78-82.

Mariah Perez leads the Flyers in Rebounds snagging 40 thus far in the season, averaging 6.7 per game. Perez also recorded a double-double in her last home game on November 17th against Northern Kentucky. Perez had 12 points and 11 total rebounds.

In the Bobcats last contest, Caitlyn Kroll reached double digits and led the Bobcats in scoring with 19 points. Kroll also snagged 6 defensive rebounds and 5 assists. Jaya McClure was the fourth player to reach double digits in tonight's scoring for Ohio, recording 11 points.
