CLEVELAND – The Ohio football program's redshirt junior kicker
Tristian Vandenberg (Buffalo, N.Y.) was named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance on Saturday against Kent State.
Vandenberg kicked for five kickoff returns, going for 259 yards. He averaged 51.8 yards per kick and recorded one touchback.
The Bobcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 8 for their homecoming game against Akron at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and the game can be viewed on ESPN3.
