CLEVELAND -- The Ohio women's basketball team was selected to finish seventh in 2022-23 Mid-American Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the league announced on Wednesday (Oct. 26).
Ohio earned 61 points and no first-place votes and was slated to finish behind Western Michigan (91), Northern Illinois (99), Kent State (103), Bowling Green (109), Ball State (130) with one first-place votes, and Toledo (143) with eleven first-place picks.
Meanwhile, Akron (50), Eastern Michigan (46), Buffalo (40), Miami (35) and Central Michigan (29) wrapped up the remainder of the league.
Toledo (9) was selected to win the 2023 MAC Tournament, followed by Ball State (3).
Ohio opens the 2022-23 regual season on Monday, Nov. 7 against LIU inside the Convo at 7 p.m.
