ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team returned to action Saturday afternoon, falling to Toledo, 3-0, (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) inside the Convocation Center.
The Bobcats attacked at a .223 pace during the loss. The Bobcats went wire to wire with the Rockets before dropping the first set 25-23. Ohio and the Rockets kept the next two sets close the entire way, however Toledo would take both sets 25-21.
Fifth year opposite hitter
Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) led the Bobcats with 13 kills and a match high attack percentage of .632. Junior outside hitter
Olivia Margolies (Galena, Ohio) added nine kills of her own with two digs. Sophomore setter
Tria McLean (Battle Creek, Neb.) led the team with 25 assists and added 4fourdigs while sophomore defensive specialists
Sam Steele (Omaha, Neb.) and Maci Waterous (Coppell, Texas) added 13 and 10 digs respectively.
The Bobcats will be back on the road next weekend when they continue MAC play Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 when they take on Ball State in Muncie, Ind.
