MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Ohio Volleyball team dropped to Ball State, 2-3 (19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 20-25, 14-16), on Thursday (Sept. 30) in Worthen Arena.
Despite falling in the first set, the Bobcats rallied back to take the following two. The Cardinals forced Ohio into five and after a hard-fought set, Ball State won the match.
The Bobcats hit .308 on the night but were ultimately hindered by 24 errors.
Hitting .425, freshman outside hitter
Caroline Clippard (Cincinnati, Ohio) had a career high of 22 kills during the match. Junior outside hitter
Olivia Margolies (Galena, Ohio) reached a season high of 18 of kills and hit .326. Additionally, Margolies recorded 13 digs to achieve her second regular season double-double. Fifth year opposite hitter
Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) followed with 13 kills and registered a hitting percentage of .478.
Junior setter
Parker Kwiatkowski (Grand Rapids, Mich.) had 37 assists, while sophomore setter
Tria McLean (Battle Creek, Neb.) tallied 28. Sophomore defensive specialist/libero Sam Steel (Omaha, Neb.) led the match with 28 digs.
Up next, Ohio will meet Ball State again at 6:30 P.M. EST tomorrow (Oct. 1) in Worthen Arena.
