BUFFALO— The Ohio soccer team (2-3, 2-3 MAC) returned to action Sunday afternoon (March 21), falling 2-1 in double overtime to Buffalo (3-1-1).
Freshman forward Shae Robertson (Louisville, Kentucky) started the scoring for Ohio when she scored her second goal of the season in the sixth minute.
The Bulls answered with a goal from Gianna Yurchak in the 31st minute. The Bulls won the game in the 108th minute when Leah Wengender scored in double overtime.
The Bobcats were outshot by the Bulls, 22-11 in the loss. Sophomore goalkeeper Reese Dorsey (Howard, Ohio) made her first start in net for Ohio this season. Dorsey made five saves against the seven buffalo shots on goal, including one in overtime.
Ohio will return to action on Sunday (March 28) at home against Bowling Green. First touch is set for 2 p.m. at Chessa Field.
