KENT, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team (11-18, 11-7) dropped their final match of the regular season, 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 18-25, 20-25) against Kent State in the Memorial Athletic Center on Wednesday (Nov. 17).
Despite the Bobcats' win in set one, the Golden Flashes were able to come back and take the next three sets. Kent State hit .328 to Ohio's .240 and was able to capitalize on the Bobcats' 22 attacking errors and 11 service errors.
Match leaders included fifth year opposite hitter
Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) who recorded 17 kills and sophomore libero Sam Steel (Omaha, Neb.) who tallied 20 digs. Freshman outside hitter
Caroline Clippard (Cincinnati, Ohio) followed Nedoma with 11 kills, while sophomore setter
Tria McLean (Battle Creek, Neb.) led Ohio with 41 assists.
Up next, No. 3 Ohio will travel to Muncie, Ind. to compete in the first-round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Bobcats will take on No. 6 Northern Illinois at 7 P.M. EST on Nov. 21.
