ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio Volleyball team fell to Eastern Michigan, 2-3 (23-25, 25-15, 25-21, 24-26, 13-15), on Friday (Oct. 8) in Convocation Center.
The Bobcats bounced back after dropping the first set and took the next two. The Eagles forced Ohio into five after winning set four, 24-26, and ultimately won the match.
The Bobcats hit .250 to Eastern's .195 and topped them in kills, with 64 to their 57.
Junior outside hitter
Olivia Margolies (Galena, Ohio) and sophomore setter
Tria McLean (Battle Creek, Neb.) both achieved double-doubles during tonight's match. Margolies tallied 14 kills and 12 digs, while McLean registered 46 assists and 11 digs. Fifth year opposite hitter
Maggie Nedoma (Brook Park, Ohio) was just shy of a double-double of her own with 19 kills and eight digs. Freshman outside hitter
Caroline Clippard (Cincinnati, Ohio) followed Nedoma with 16 kills, while junior middle blocker
Caitlin O'Farrell (Suwanee, Ga.) had 10. Sophomore libero and defensive specialist
Sam Steele recorded 21 digs and five service aces.
Up next, Ohio continue their weekend at home tomorrow (Oct. 9) with a match against Central Michigan at 1:30 P.M. EST in the Convocation Center.
