ATHENS, Ohio – With the final contract signed, the defending Mid-American Conference Tournament Champion Ohio men's basketball team has completed its 2021-22 schedule. To go along with the previously announced 20-game MAC schedule, the Bobcats will play 12 non-conference games, including the usual Dad's Weekend exhibition game.
After the Bobcats take on Capital on Saturday, Nov. 6 inside the Convo, the Bobcats open the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 9 when Ohio takes on Belmont. The Bruins went 26-4 last year before falling to Morehead State in the OVC championship game.
Ohio heads to Cleveland State on Saturday, Nov. 13 to take on the Horizon League Champions. Last season, the Bobcats defeated the Vikings 101-46 and set an NCAA Division I record by going on a 40-0 run. Ohio returns to Athens two days later to host Robert Morris on Monday, Nov. 15 inside the Convocation Center.
The Bobcats then head to Lexington, Ky. On Friday, Nov. 19 to take on Kentucky in the Kentucky Classic. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Rupp Arena and can be seen on the SEC Network.
Ohio returns to the Convo for two-straight home games to close out November, taking on Mount St. Mary's (Md.) on Nov. 22, followed by Concordia University (Mich.) on Nov. 26.
Ohio is back on the road on Dec. 1 when they head to Baton Rouge, La. to take on their second SEC opponent of the season.
