KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Ohio volleyball team (7-16, 7-5 MAC) grabbed a 3-1 (20-25, 25-22, 26-24, 25-13) victory over Western Michigan (14-9, 7-5) on Friday (Oct. 29) to kick off their weekend on the road.
The Broncos took the first after creating some separation in the latter half of the set. The Bobcats did not let set one define them and evened out the playing field by securing the second set after seven lead changes. Set three was even more of a battle between Ohio and WMU. Despite the Broncos efforts, the Bobcats prevailed and won the third set, 26-24. Ohio controlled the entire fourth set, hitting .323 to WMU's -0.03 and never allowing them the lead after the first point.
Overall, the Bobcats hit .219 to the Broncos' .156 and accumulated 58 kills.
