ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio volleyball team dropped to Akron, 3-0 (23-25, 20-25, 18-25), on Saturday (Oct. 23) in the Convocation Center.
In the first, the Bobcats fell in a tough set consisting of 13 ties and six lead changes. Ohio led early in the second and third sets but were unable to capitalize and allowed Akron the win.
Outside hitters 
Olivia Margolies (Galena, Ohio) and 
Caroline Clippard (Cincinnati, Ohio) recorded nine kills during tonight's match. Sophomore setter 
Tria McLean (Battle Creek, Neb.) led the Bobcats in assists, tallying 22. Defensively, sophomore libero 
Sam Steele (Omaha, Neb.) registered 16 digs, while sophomore middle blocker 
Elizabeth Hoerlein (Mason, Ohio) put up seven block assists.
Up next, Ohio will hit the road to face Western Michigan (Oct. 29) and Northern Illinois (Oct. 30). The first match is set to begin at 6 P.M. EST and the second will start at 7 P.M. EST.
