Ohio Wrestling Falls to Northern Illinois, Missouri

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Ohio wrestling team (1-6, 0-3 MAC) dropped two Mid-American Conference matches at the Missouri Tri Meet Saturday (January 23) at the Hearnes Center, falling to Northern Illinois, 32-6, and host Missouri, 46-0.
The Bobcats' two individual weight class victories over the Huskies came at 125 pounds and 157 pounds. Redshirt freshman Oscar Sanchez (Genoa, Ohio) came away with a 4-1 win by decision over freshman Lucian Brink in the 125 pound bout. At 157, redshirt freshman Jordan Slivka (Indianapolis, Ind.) logged a 9-2 win by decision over redshirt sophomore Anthony Gibson.
Ohio is scheduled to head to Mount, Pleasant, Mich., next Sunday (January 31) to square off against MAC foes Central Michigan, Cleveland State and George Mason.
