ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio football team has named six team captains for the 2020 season -- redshirt senior wide receiver Cameron Odom (Bedford, Ohio), redshirt senior right defensive end Austin Conrad (LaGrange, Ohio), redshirt senior middle linebacker Jared Dorsa (Kings Mills, Ohio), senior center Brett Kitrell (Ashland, Neb.), redshirt junior defensive tackle Kai Caesar (Cache, Okla.) and redshirt junior running back Julian Ross (Kansas City, Mo.).
Odom enters his second season serving as a team captain while Conrad, Dorsa, Kitrell, Caesar and Ross are all serving as captains for the first time.
"On a team filled with leaders, these six were chosen to lead us in the 2020 season," said 16th-year head coach Frank Solich. "They have the respect of their teammates and will represent our program in a positive manner."
Ohio is coming off of its fifth-straight winning season with a seven-win campaign in 2019. The Bobcats wrapped up the year with a 30-21 victory over Nevada in the 23rd Famous Idaho Potato Bowl to record their program-record third-straight bowl win and fifth overall in program history.
Ohio will open the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 against North Carolina Central at Peden Stadium in Athens.
