Final Results
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Ohio men's golf team finished in a tie for fifth place with Valparaiso with a total team score of 580 (+20) after combining to card a 285 (+5) today at Highland Golf Club in the second and final round of the Butler Spring Invitational.
On Monday (April 1), the Bobcats combined to shoot a 295 (+15) in first-round action.
IUPUI won the Butler Spring Invitational with a total team score of 561 (+1). The Jaguars shot rounds of 278 (-2) and 283 (+3). Senior Nick Bienz of IUPUI earned medalist honors with a two-round total of 137 (-3) after tallying round scores of 64 (-6) and 73 (+3).
Sophomore Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) led the way for the Bobcats, tying for 13th with a 143 (+3). He shot rounds of 72 (+2) and 71 (+1).
Sophomore Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) and redshirt junior Michael Kenney (Kent, Ohio) both recorded two-round totals of 147 (+7), tying them for 24th. Dyson compiled round scores of 72 (+2) and 75 (+5). Kenny improved on a 75 (+5) in the first round with a second-round 72 (+2).
Sophomore Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) and senior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) finished in a tie for 30th with identical two-round totals of 148 (+8). Mandry improved on a first-round 78 (+8) by firing a 70 (E) in the second. Sattler followed up a 76 (+6) in the first round with a 72 (+2) in the second.
With the Butler Spring Invitational in the books, Ohio will compete in its final event of the 2018-19 regular season April 14-15 when it heads to Springboro, Ohio, for the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club.
