ATHENS, Ohio -- The Ohio men's golf team announced the addition of two student-athletes to the 2025-26 signing class on Thursday (Nov. 13). Head coach
Brennan Whitis announced that Jack Marsh and Cole Jones will join the Bobcats next season.
"We are excited to have Jack Marsh and Cole Jones join the program!", coach Whitis shared. "They both had great junior careers and will be immediate impacts to this team when they get on campus."
Cole Jones
Jones comes to Ohio from St. Mary's of Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Ny, where he was first team all-conference all four years. He owned a nine-hole scoring average of 33.6 his senior year, while setting an MMHSAA record low nine-hole score (31) in 2023. His St. Mary's team took home the MMHSAA league title in 2022 and 2023.
Jones is the son of David and Jennifer, and has two sisters, Claire and Cameron. Outside of golf, Jones enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends. Josh intends to major in business with future career plans of playing professional golf or running a business.
Jack Marsh
Marsh was named first team all-district and twice named first team all-conference at Thomas Worthington High School in Worthington, Ohio. In his high school career, he has won six tournaments, and owns a school records for low round in competition (65), and low scoring average (71.2). Marsh also won the 2025 Columbus District Golf Association Amateur Championship.
A native of Worthington, Ohio, March is the son of Jodi (a Bobcat alum) and John, who played football at John Carroll University. He has two brothers, Bailey and Chris. Outside of golf, Marsh enjoys, playing basketball, pickleball, and cooking. March intends to major in marketing and hopes to become a professional golfer in the future.
