Agler Named MAC East Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ohio women's basketball redshirt senior guard Taylor Agler was named the Mid-American Conference East Player of the Week for her performance the week of Feb. 27, the league announced today.

The Westerville, Ohio native led Ohio during the final week of the regular season for the Bobcats. Agler averaged 12.0 points a game, 8.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists, while shooting .454 from the field and averaging 37.0 minutes on the floor.

On March 3 at Akron, Agler registered her first career double-double. Scoring 16 points and grabbing a career-high 13 rebounds. She also had four assists. She shot 6-of-12 from the field and 2-of-4 from three-point range. She also registered two steals in the game. On Feb. 28 against Miami. Agler scored eight points, while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out nine assists and grabbing one steal in 38 minutes on the court.

The Bobcats open the MAC Tournament tonight as the fifth seed as they take on No. 12 Akron Monday, March 5. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center and can be seen on ESPN3.
