QUOTABLE
“It’s unbelievable. I am so proud of these kids. To win the MAC in regular season with the pressure that they were under to compete every night, it took everybody’s best effort time in and time out...We played Big Ten schools and ACC schools and never once did we see our kids not compete….I’m not sure that I could be more proud of a team to handle everything that they had to handle and the expectations they had to handle from the very first day…these kids stayed focused and worked.†Head Coach Bob Boldon on the season as a whole.
“This is a very good team and a very difficult place to play.†Head Coach Bob Boldon on Temple.
“I think that the upperclassmen on this team have done a tremendous job of moving the program forward. They’ve raised the expectations, which is a good thing. There are different obstacles that come with raised expectations.†Head Coach Bob Boldon on the progress of the program.
“She is awesome. We’ll miss her on both ends of the floor. She’s one of the most competitive players I have ever coached in my life and one of the most caring players, even though she might be very tough on the outside, she cares very much about her teammates.†Head Coach Bob Boldon on Kiyanna Black’s career.
“KB’s career and what happened and transpired over the last two years in this program and putting that into perspective, I think people are going to be pretty impressed with what these young ladies have been able to do. It obviously hurts a little bit now, but the fact that people thought that we would come into Temple and win is tremendous because people wouldn’t have thought that in the past and would never have given us a chance in the past. These kids pioneered a new avenue and we have a bunch of young players who have seen that and have raised the expectations. As a coach, I am excited to move forward with this team and see what’s next.†Head Coach Bob Boldon on the progress he expects to continue to see.
