Kingsmill Intercollegiate Round Two Results (PDF)
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Ohio men's golf team is tied for ninth place after second-round play concluded on Monday (March 21) at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at The River Course at Kingsmill Resort.
The Bobcats fired a collective 294 (+14) after tallying a 295 (+15) in the first round on Sunday to bring their total to 589 (+29), matching them with Old Dominion for ninth. The Monarchs have posted rounds of 291 (+11) and 298 (+18) to keep pace with Ohio.
Penn State and Tennessee are tied for first place with matching scores of 569 (+9). The Nittany Lions have carded rounds of 287 (+7) and 282 (+2) while the Volunteers have recorded rounds of 284 (+4) and 285 (+5).
Junior Peyton White (Huntersville, N.C) finds himself tied for fourth place, following up a 69 (-1) and Sunday with a 71 (+1) on Monday to put him even at 140. He is shooting -1 on par 3s. White is tied with Seton Hall junior Lloyd Jefferson Go and Drake freshman Tommi Avant. Go has carded duplicate rounds of 70 (E) while Avant has tallied rounds of 68 (-2) and 72 (+2).
Sophomore Grant Engel (Pittsburgh, Pa.) sits in a time for 43rd with a 148 (+8). After carding a 73 (+3) on Sunday, he notched a 75 (+5) on Monday.
Junior Ty Herriott (Brandywine, Md.) posted a second-round 74 (+4) after shooting a 75 (+5) in the first. He is tied for 49th.
Freshman Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) is tied for 73rd with a 152 (+12). He has totaled rounds of 78 (+8) and 74 (+4).
Senior Michael Engelman (Grand Blanc, Mich.) has logged scores of 80 (+10 and 76 (+6) to tie for 97th with a 156 (+16).
Penn State freshman Charles Huntzinger currently leads the field with a 131 (-9) thanks to rounds of 67 (-3) and 64 (-6).
Third-round action opens Tuesday (March 22) with a 9:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
