Kingsmill Intercollegiate Round One Results (PDF)
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Ohio men's golf team sits in a tie for 10th place after a cold and windy opening round of play on Sunday (March 20) at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at The River Course at Kingsmill Resort.
The Green & White shot 295 (+15) to tie with TCU and tournament hor William & Mary heading into action on Monday (March 21). Tennessee currently leads the field at 284 (+4) while Penn State and Dayton are tied for second at 287 (+7).
Junior Peyton White (Huntersville, N.C) is currently in a five-way tie for third place after firing a 69 (-1) despite the harsh conditions. He scattered three birdies and bogeyed just one hole during the round. He currently stands two shots back of Penn State freshman Charles Huntzinger, who leads the field after posting a 67 (-3) in the opening round.
Sophomore Grant Engel (Pittsburgh, Pa.) is tied for 34th place after carding a 73 (+3). He posted 15 pars on the day and played the par-5s at +1.
Junior Ty Herriott (Brandywine, Md.) shot a 75 (+5) and is tied for 42nd place heading into the second round.
Freshman Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) and senior Michael Engelman (Grand Blanc, Mich.) rounded out the Bobcats performance by shooting 78 (+8) and 80 (+10), respectively. Sattler enters Monday tied for 95th place while Engelman is tied for 112th.
Second-round action at will begin at 9 a.m. ET on Monday.
