The Short Story: Redshirt junior forward Kenny Kaminski (Medina, Ohio) and redshirt senior forward Treg Setty (Maysville, Ky.) hit two huge shots down the stretch to push the Ohio men's basketball team (15-8, 6-5 MAC) to a 72-69 victory over Mid-American Conference West Division foe Ball State (15-9, 6-5 MAC) on Tuesday (Feb. 9) at Worthen Arena in Muncie, Ind.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Ohio shot 48.2 percent (27-of-56) from the field. Ball State converted 51.9 percent(28-of-54) of its shots, but the Bobcats held the MAC's second-best three-point shooting team to just 27.8 percent (5-of-18) from beyond the arc. Ohio won despite Ball State winning the battle of the boards (31-30), points in the paint (40-30) and bench points (23-6).
• Junior forward Antonio Campbell (Cincinnati, Ohio) once again came up huge for the Bobcats, tallying a game-high 26 points and a team-high 10 rebounds to record his team-high 11th double-double of the year and 20th of his career. He shot 10-of-14 from the field -- including 2-of-2 from three-point range. He also went 4-of-5 from the free throw line. Campbell also tallied an assist in 37 minutes.
• Kaminski logged 20 points off of a 7-of-15 shooting effort -- including knocking down 5-of-11 three-point attempts. He also posted four rebounds, an assist and a block in 35 minutes.
• Setty scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds in 32 minutes of work.
• Redshirt sophomore guard Jaaron Simmons (Dayton, Ohio) dished out a game-high seven assists in addition to scoring six points, hauling in three boards and grabbing a steal in 33 minutes.
• Junior forward Franko House scored a team-high 13 points off of 6-of-11 shooting to lead Ball State and logged four rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes.
• Senior forward Bo Calhoun recorded a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 10 boards in addition to notching two assists, a block and a steal over 26 minutes for the Cardinals.
• Fifth-year senior guard Jeremiah Davis went 4-for-4 from the field and totaled 11 points, two assists, a rebound and a steal in 11 minutes of work off of the bench for Ball State.
• Sophomore guard Jeremie Tyler and sophomore forward Sean Sellers each scored nine points for the Cardinals. Tyler posted a rebound, an assist and a steal in 25 minutes while Sellers totaled a rebound and a steal over 16 minutes off of the bench.
• Ohio netted the first points of the game when Campbell put one up and in with just under 19 minutes to go in the half.
• Ball State proceeded to rattle off a 14-4 run over the ensuing five minutes, using six points by House and four by Calhoun to build an eight-point lead at 14-6 with just under 14 minutes to go in the first half.
• Ohio retaliated with a 10-3 run to make it a one-point game at 17-16 with 11:26 to play in the half. Junior forward Wadly Mompremier (Miami, Fla.) made a layup and Kaminski sandwiched a jumper between a pair of treys to spark Ohio's rally.
• The Cardinals went back up by six with just over eight minutes remaining in the first half thanks to a three by Tyler and a jumper by House.
• The Bobcats made it a two-point game several times over the next six minutes, using a trey by freshman guard Jordan Dartis (Newark, Ohio) and jumpers by Simmons and Campbell. Freshman guard/forward Gavin Block (Lincoln, Ill.) nailed a pair of free throws to make it a one-point game with 1:25 left in the half. Setty hit a baseline jumper with 47 seconds remaining to put Ohio back in front, 32-31.
• House went in for a layup with three seconds left in the half to try to put Ball State back in the lead, but Kaminski rejected his attempt to send the Bobcats into halftime with the lead.
• Ohio and Ball State traded jabs over the first three-plus minutes of the second half, with a layup by Sellers knotting the score at 37-all.
• A 10-5 spurt by Ball State gave the Cardinals a 47-42 lead with just over 12 minutes to go courtesy of a jumper by Calhoun, threes by Sellers and Tyler and a layup by freshman forward/center Trey Moses.
• The Bobcats retaliated with a 17-3 run to go up by seven at 57-50 with just under eight minutes to go. The stretch was highlighted by a conventional three-point play and a trey by Campbell, a three by Kaminski and a layup by sophomore guard Mike Laster (Detroit, Mich.).
• Ball State answered with a 17-10 stretch to tie the contest at 67-all with 1:47 left. A layup and a jumper by Davis, a trey by redshirt junior guard/forward Ryan Weber and another layup by Davis helped the Cardinals even the score.
• Kaminski countered for Ohio by knocking down a deep three off an assist by Simmons with 1:02 to go to put the Bobcats back in front.
• Davis was fouled with 45 seconds left and made both free throws to cut Ball State's deficit to one, but Setty sunk a key jump shot with 17 seconds left to make it a three-point game in favor of Ohio once again. Weber got off a desperation three-point attempt with a second remaining on the clock, but his game-tying try was off the mark.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
• The Bobcats have won two in a row and four of their last five games.
• Ohio picked up its second MAC road win of the year. The Bobcats won just one MAC road game in 2014-15.
• The Bobcats improved to 46-34 (.575) all-time against Ball State. Ohio has taken each of the last seven meetings from the Cardinals. The 'Cats swept the season series from the Cardinals after posting a 79-73 win over Ball State on Jan. 9 at the Convocation Center.
• Campbell recorded his team-high seventh game of the year with at least 20 points and eighth of his career. He reached double figures in scoring for the 10th game in a row and team-high 20th time this year. He has achieved the feat 41 times in his career. Campbell has totaled double digits in rebounds a team-high 11 times this season and 22 times in his career. He led the team in scoring for a team-high ninth time this year and in rebounding for a team-high 18th time this season.
• Kaminski posted his fifth outing with at least 20 points this year and recorded double digits in scoring for the 14th time this season.
• Simmons has recorded at least five assists in all but two games this year. His 183 assists in 2015-16 gives him the eighth-most in a single season in program history.

Ohio will face MAC East Division rival Buffalo on Friday (Feb. 12), in a 7 p.m. ET nationally televised matchup on ESPNU at Alumni Arena in Amherst, N.Y. The Bulls (14-10, 7-4 MAC) saw their four-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday with a 71-69 loss to Toledo.
