QUOTABLE
“I told them that if we didn’t get rebounds, we were going to lose and winning has always been important to these guys. I don’t know if anyone necessarily believed that rebounding was important. You kind of get tricked into thinking, after beating a very good Eastern team at Eastern and getting out-rebounded, that you can continue to play that way and it’s okay. Central showed us tonight that that’s no okay, that’s not a way to play basketball and it makes no statistical sense whatsoever for that to continue to work and it didn’t for most of this game.†Head Coach Bob Boldon on the role rebounding played in the game
“I just knew that the first half was terrible and I felt like I knew we needed to pick it up and I knew someone had to do it, and shots were falling so I just kept on going.†Kiyanna Black on her improvement from the first half to the second half.
